Essential oils are a topic that are widely talked about in health circles but also looked upon as a hippy trend or fad. I had no prior knowledge on essential oils other than you can use them for unscented natural laundry. I went to a health food store and bought Eucalyptus, Lavender and Tea Tree. My goal for my family is to reduce the amount of toxins in our household.
Then last year around Mother’s Day, I attribute it to God guiding me to the right path, a friends post on Young Living Essential Oils pops up in my Facebook feed. I thought, hmm a place to buy oils online. Not thinking more into what the company is all about. I mention to my husband as a gift idea for Mother’s Day. We go online together and order what is called a Premium Starter Kit! I get so excited thinking wow I am going to get 11 oils to use and something called a diffuser to use with the oils. As you can see I don’t research everything before I buy it! When I received my kit a week later it came with TONS of info on Young Living as a company, the oils, and the beautiful home diffuser. I felt like a little girl on Christmas morning opening my Premium Starter Kit! I couldn’t wait to smell all the oils! Dr. Gary Young, founder of Young Living founded his company over 20 years ago! He is considered the pioneer of essential oil companies. Young stands by his products and is without a doubt passionate about health and what we are putting on and in our bodies! After reading the Seed to Seal Guarantee I knew that I chose the right company for my family. There are no fillers or synthetics in my oils and Young Living is the only company that owns their own farms and distilleries. They are the first in essential oil companies to use the distilling method that preserves the therapeutic quality of the oil versus high heat which destroys the health benefits.
Each oil in the kit benefits your health and wellness! There are three uses for your oils.
Make sure to read the bottle label on each individual essential oil for specific usage directions.
Apply 1-3 drops directly to the desired area (dilute spicy/hot oils with organic carrier oil like V-6 or coconut oil)
The bottoms of your feet are a great place to topically apply oils because they have the largest pores in your body and contain all your nerve endings.
A diffuser disperses oils into a micro fine cool mist into the air covering hundreds of square feet in seconds. These oils will remain in the air for hours to purify and deodorize.
When you inhale an oil, they go through the olfactory nerves in the nose to the limbic system where memory and emotions are stored. This region of the brain only communicates through smell. Inhaling oils, you are able to access and release certain trauma stored in the body.
Many Therapeutic grade oils can be taken in a vegetable capsules To get an oil into your system quickly put a drop under your tongue.
You can also add essential oils to your water. I love to drink oils in my water each day! Make sure to use only glass or stainless steel cups. You can even add many oils to your favorite recipes!
